Doctor of Humanities in Literature, Classical Philologist, Papyrologist and Paleographist, Graduate of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and Lincoln College University of Oxford, since 2014 a trainee at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow, Institute of Paleography, Codicology and Diplomacy; founder and organizer of many research initiatives (Colloquia Orphica, Classical Studies Workshops in Athens); editor-in-chief of the scientific web magazine Littera Antiqua, editor-in-chief of the Traditio Antiquitatis series; long-term tutor of the Student Association of Classical Studies at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin; participant in the Staż Sukcesem Naukowca programme (cooperation between science and business for the regions of Lubelszczyzna and Małopolska); member of the PAU Student Textbooks Assessment Committee; Ministry of National Education expert; member of the team of experts of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education; expert of Operon Editorial House, expert of Fundacja Rozwoju Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego; author of numerous publications; laureate of many awards, including the prestigious Copernicus Prize awarded by the Polish Society of Neuropsychology (for interdisciplinary research).

MA in International Relations (Jagiellonian University); President of the Management Board of Sant-Tech Sp. z o.o. Founder of two start-ups in Poland in two independent industries: ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and innovative industrial machinery. The first start-up Zicom Networks in 2008 was selected by Nokia-Siemens as one of the four leading business partners for turnkey investments in telecom infrastructure. In 2014, as President of the Management Board of Sant-Tech Sp. z o.o., selected from among 272 candidates to be named Micro Entrepreneur of the Year in a competition organized by the Kronenberg Foundation under the patronage of City Bank Handlowy and Forbes magazine. In the following years, the company led by Cyprian Marcisz received many awards and prizes.

Participant of an international research grant at the University of Warsaw; author of dozens of scientific articles in congress languages, translator (Russian, Ukrainian); secretary of the Littera Antiqua online science journal, editor and translator of websites in Ukrainian and Polish (ITAJ Foundation).
Interests: the culture of ancient Greece (language, literature, religion), peri-biblical and early Christian literature, Greek paleography, codicology and diplomacy

Prof. Dr hab. Dariusz Rott is an academic at the Silesian University in Katowice and at the Jesuit University of Philosophy and Education Ignatianum in Krakow. Between 2014-2015 he was a visiting professor at the Collegium Civitas in Warsaw (Department of Journalism) and in 2010-2015 at the Trnava University of St. Cyril and Methodius (Fakulta Masmedialnej Komunikacie, Slovakia).
He has delivered lectures e.g. at the following foreign institutions: Center for Medieval Studies, University of Reykjavik (Iceland); Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia); Paisii Chilendarski University of Plovdiv (Bulgaria); Universitŕ Degli Studi Di Napoli L'Orientale (Italy); University of Sofia (Bulgaria); Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (Slovakia); University of Ostrava (Czech Republic).
Since 2015 Director of the Center for Innovation, Technology Transfer and Development Foundation of the University of Silesia. Between 2003-2013 a member of the Presidium of the Central Council of Science and Higher Education. Former member of the expert teams of the Minister of Science and Higher Education and a member of the Presidium of the Central Council of Science and Higher Education. An expert of the Ministry of National Education and of the National Center for Research and Development in Warsaw, National Foresight Poland 2020 Program. Reviewer of applications in the National Program for the Development of the Humanities. Member of the International Federation of Journalism (Brussels, Belgium) and honorary member of the European Academy of Management, Marketing and Media (Bratislava, Slovakia). Since 2011, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of the Regional Research in the Silesian Library in Katowice. Laureate, among others, of an honorary title of Ambasador Kongresów Polskich (Ambassador of Polish Congresses), Medal Zasłużony dla Kultury Polskiej (of Merit for Polish Culture), Medal of the National Education Commission.
